This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, administering, and troubleshooting add-on software in support of application infrastructure. Mainly taking tickets administrative/operational on F5.
Required Technical Skills: F5 BIG-IP Platform Basics: Understanding of core modules like LTM (required) and GTM (nice to have). Virtual Server (VIP) and Pool Management: Ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot VIPs, pools, and associated nodes. Networking Fundamentals: Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, routing, NAT, SNAT, VLANs, and firewall concepts. SSL/TLS Management: Basic experience with SSL certificate installation, renewal, and troubleshooting. Load Balancing Concepts: Sound understanding of key application delivery/load-balancing concepts (round robin, least connections, persistence, SSL offloading, etc.) and health monitoring. iRules: Working knowledge of custom traffic-handling via profiles, iRules, policies, and data groups/classes. Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with tools and concepts like SNMP, syslog, or third-party monitoring systems (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds). Ticketing Systems: Experience with tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy to manage tickets and requests. Proven Troubleshooting Expertise: Ability to methodically work through an application communication flow to isolate and resolve issues. Required Qualifications: 1-3 years hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP platform (LTM) and basic load balancing principles. 1–2 years of IT/networking experience. Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, NAT, SNAT, VLANs, DNS, SSL, firewalls). Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced technical environment.
The compensation range for this position is $50 to $60
(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
