Senior UX Designer
100% Remote – must be able to work EST hours and candidates MUST be USA based 
W2 12+ month contract w/ potential for extensions or conversion perm 

Summary

This UX Designer position within the hotel websites & customer service integration team will help drive the design and development of global hospitality industry applications. The designer must be passionate about creating and implementing effective user-centered design. The position requires a high awareness of usability factors that promote principles such as learnability, speed, simplicity, efficiency and consistency. The UX Designer will help concept, plan and design web and mobile-based application interfaces for Hotel Owners, Hotel staff and Corporate staff.

Responsibilities and requirements

·  Develop Wireframes and prototypes
·  Brilliant presentation skills to communicate UX recommendations and lead sketching/brainstorming sessions with internal and vendor teams
·  Lead UX discussions and working sessions with multiple functional areas throughout the company
·  Ability to clearly articulate reasoning for UX design decisions, citing best practices, articles, and examples of existing functionalities
·  Think beyond the desktop to employ Mobile First and Responsive Design methodologies to deliver experiences for smartphone, tablet and desktop devices
·  Ability to translate business and technical requirements into captivating solutions
·  Work with other team members to develop standard UI design enhancements, follow and update Design System and pattern library
·  Stay abreast of new techniques, trends and competitive set products
·  Throughout the lifecycle of product development and management stages provide review and feedback to Product Management, Technology, UAT and QA teams as needed
·  Experience with Axure or similar prototyping applications Familiarity with HTML/CSS/jQuery

Experience

·  6-8 years of progressive work-related experience, hotel/travel industry a plus.
·  Typically 3-5 years’ experience with interaction design

Technical Skills and Knowledge

·  Fluent with Figma 
·  Experience in agile and lean development methods
·  Expertise in the principles of Interaction Design and user-centered design methodologies
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Ability to present and defend design concepts
·  Experience working with or within a Product Management team
·  Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work efficiently
·  Brilliant presentation skills to communicate UX recommendations
·  Experience conducting usability studies

The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $70.00 to $75.00/hr.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
