Overview:

We’re looking for a UX Designer II with a strong foundation in human-centered design to join our client's growing team. This role will partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create intuitive, elegant, and scalable experiences across a suite of enterprise software applications. As an advocate for the end-user, you’ll bring clarity to complex workflows and drive consistency through design systems and high-quality UX standards. Candidates must have strong proficiency in Figma, excellent collaboration skills, and a passion for creating clean, user-focused designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the UX/UI look, feel, and user flows of digital applications from concept through execution.

  • Translate complex requirements into clear, user-friendly experiences and intuitive interactions.

  • Lead and facilitate brainstorming and discovery sessions with stakeholders, product managers, and engineers.

  • Create and maintain design artifacts including wireframes, mockups (hi-fi and lo-fi), prototypes, user journeys, personas, and IA diagrams.

  • Practice and promote design system usage, contributing components and patterns to encourage consistency and predictability.

  • Support the adoption of Interstate design system components and ensure Figma file hygiene and documentation best practices.

  • Champion the HCD (human-centered design) approach and leverage user research and feedback to iterate and improve experiences.

  • Collaborate with the UX and development team to refine and evolve the system experience.

  • Advocate for UX best practices and accessibility standards in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field, and 2+ years of experience in a related UX/UI role

  • OR 3+ years of equivalent hands-on UX experience

  • Master’s degree with internship or junior experience also considered

  • Proficiency with Figma and demonstrated excellence in design systems, component building, and file organization

  • Strong skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (coding not required)

  • Previous experience working within a UX/UI design system (Material Design, Lightning, etc.)

  • Knowledge of UX fundamentals including accessibility, usability, typography, color theory, layout, and responsive design

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience designing for enterprise software products is a plus

    Bonus Points For:

    • Experience working on enterprise-level content platforms

    • Prior contributions to or creation of component libraries and design systems

    • Experience working with unstructured teams or projects in flux—ability to bring order to chaos

    • Knowledge of design systems or similar enterprise UI systems

    • Demonstrated ability to mentor others and evangelize design standards

If you're passionate about UX design, thrive in collaborative settings, and are ready to help shape the future of enterprise experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today to join a team where user experience is more than a step in the process — it’s the foundation of everything we build.
